Not all coffee is created equal. So many people like cold brew for its lower acidity and smoother flavor, but that's only because they're haven't tried ours ;) ...no, seriously!
One of the reasons that coffee can be bitter is that it's roasted for a different brewing technique. Because our coffee is roasted specifically for the brewing process of the Unimatic, we've calibrated the it perfectly for all of the variables of the brewing process (i.e. temperature, steam, extraction time, movement, etc.)
If you're curious to learn more, we can happily give you a science lesson another day, but since Spring is upon us, we want to take a moment to share our favorite (and highly addictive) way to make iced coffee. It's especially useful if you're using your Unimatic and have some extra from the morning brew! Because of the time and care taken in every step of the process, from roasting the coffee to knowing all of the details of how it brews, we are able to achieve some of the smoothest coffee around. We can't wait for you to try it!
Most of the time, our iced coffee consists of simply big ice cubes and a healthy dose of Brunetta. If we're wanting a little something more, however this recipe tastes like heaven in a cup... enjoy!!
RECIPE:
1. Brew a pot of San Pietro Brunetta coffee :) have a cup or two and put the left over into the refrigerator
2. When you're in the mood for iced coffee, add it to a glass with some large ice cubes but leave some room for milk
