Unimatic University
We're building an army - fueled by great coffee!
Too often, we hear that the internships and placements you get while in school don't challenge the hungry student that humbly shows up everyday, hoping for the chance to earn the responsibility to make an impact. Whereas we see value in learning to cultivate a positive attitude and smile through the grunt work, we also know that you want to learn something about where you fit into the world. It is with this understanding that we at Caffè Unimatic are excited to invite you to consider an experiment, an opportunity to learn a skill (arguably the most valuable and transferable of all skills) with us through the Unimatic University Fellowship Program. The skill you learn is communication, particularly the segment that has to do with sales - not the icky kind, rather the kind that helps you better read people, situations and the energy in a room, the kind that helps you strengthen your inner intuition, the kind that radiates with integrity, enthusiasm and honor, that exists in service to others, committed to leaving people better than you found them, the kind that makes all sorts of relationships - personal, professional and even the one you have with yourself - better.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [FAQs]
What is the opportunity?
We are gathering a cohort of students and giving you a way to engage with, take action on and hence, learn this skillset using our coffee as the product whose story you get to make your own and put into the world. It doesn't matter how much you sell, it matters that you consistently show up. This is one of those opportunities where you get out what you put in and we can't wait to see you go!
Why is this skill important?
No matter what type of career you hope to pursue, this is a skill that will never become obsolete and that no one can take away from you. Once you have it, it's your edge. We believe that you should enter the real world knowing this above all else. We also believe that this skill, i.e. engaging in the practice of communicating value and creating enthusiasm in others around the object, idea, issue of your choice, is the foundation of the unshakable confidence you need in this world.
What do I get out of it?
Since this is a fellowship, it's half course and half real word experience. By the end of the program, you'll have taken a product and made the story your own. You'll have honed a way to introduce yourself, share who you are, position yourself and the story you want to tell to anyone at anytime. You'll have a unique story to share and will have found a way to communicate that feels best for you. You'll belong to a team, a family of like-minded peers who are headed in your same direction. You'll have learned how the human brain functions, watched, listened and developed assertions about how people make decisions and how you feel most comfortable leading. You'll have closed sales and have the embodied sense of what that feels like (which is arguably, priceless). And most of all, you'll have found your voice, shared generously and earned the confidence that comes from seeing just how far you can go.
Who teaches the course?
This course is adapted from Legacy Out Loud's confidence building methodology and will be personally run by the Founder and Owner of Caffe Unimatic, Elisabeth Cardiello. She's a two time TEDx speaker and entrepreneur who has been featured by NBC, AMEX Open, Forbes and Worldwide Business with Kathy Ireland.
When does the next round start and how do I join?
We are currently accepting applications for the Summer semester. You can find the application here. It will be open through May 20th, but since Elisabeth will be reading through applications and accepting participants on a rolling basis, we urge you to apply ASAP, as it has filled quickly.
What is the structure of the course?
We will begin the semester in June and run for roughly 6 weeks. The structure is simple and allows the flexibility of your individual schedule: you'll receive a task every Monday, have a call with your team, report your progress throughout and have access to the team and Elisabeth throughout.
Do I need to be in NYC?
Nope, all "meetings" and learning will be virtual, so you can be anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.
What if I already have a job, internship, leadership role on campus or play a sport?
If you have a lot going on, that's just fine - and almost preferable! The more people you are exposed to, the better - it'll give you something to talk about with colleagues, a community to belong to, something to stretch you and get you thinking more deeply while out in the real world and most of all, prove how much of a rock star you are - holding down multiple leadership roles at once!
I really want to join, but am nervous about how much time I have. What do I do?
We can't tell you what to do, but we can share that we made this course flexible for that reason. As with most things worth doing - you get out what you put in, so if you choose to put in the time, you will earn skills that you will have for a lifetime and that you will put to use in the workplace and far beyond. There's no rigid structure that needs to "work with your schedule" - we did that on purpose. We want you to be able to fit this in anytime, all the time. Finding the time, being a self starter and committing to something is part of the learning journey.
This is a course so do I need to pay anything to take it?
Yes, there is a small cost, because we've learned that when you invest in something, you take it much more seriously. That being said, we earn nothing from the coffee you sell and the commissions you earn can actually end up paying for your investment.
Anything else I should know?
We work best with people who are hungry, humble and happy; people who are driven and committed, people who are ready and willing to try, fail, learn and try again, and people who don't complain but rather zoom out, gain perspective, then zoom back in and create a better way forward. We hope you'll consider it.

A Note from our Founder:
"This company changed me. I've learned so much from meeting people and getting to share this story with them. Having something so different to add to the conversation and something that I felt like I belonged to made all the difference and gave me a passion that is yet unmatched in my life. Building the methodology of Legacy Out Loud and getting to use a piece of it with Unimatic University means the world. We are so excited to use what we've learned about people, brain science, leadership and communication to give this confidence to the leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow." -Elisabeth L. Cardiello
